Contest Rules
To participate, register at www.star997.com, between June 17, 2019 and June 21, 2019. Once listeners are registered to participate from Monday to Friday starting June 24th at 8:10am until July 12, 2019 Savannah will announce the ‘She-Shed Song of the Day’. Anyone registered to participate can listen at 5:25pm for their name to be announced on air. They will have 10 minutes to call 843-972-9999 and correctly identify the ‘She-Shed Song of the Day’ and if correct prior to 6/28, they will win two (2) tickets to the Blue Jean Ball on July 3rd at Exquis Event Center and be qualified for the Grand Prize – qualifying prize value is $110. If correct on or after 6/28, they will win two (2) tickets to the Southern Soul Fall Festival on September 14th at the PAC – qualifying prize value is $95 and be qualified for the Grand Prize. The Grand Prize of the Outdoor Patio furniture set will be chosen in a random drawing of from all Qualifiers on Wed July 17th at 8:10am and announced on air.
The Outdoor Patio furniture set is supplied by Orvins Furniture is valued at approximately $5,500 based on current retail cost and includes a love seat, 2 chairs, coffee and rug. The contest is open to those who hold a valid article of state-issued identification or a valid Military ID and are 18 years of age or older. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. Packages cannot be transferred. Winners will be responsible for state and federal taxes. Winner is responsible for picking up the prize within 30 days from a storage location on Clements Ferry Road in Charleston, SC. All pick up fees and incidentals are not included. Delivery and all other charges which may be deemed fees and incidentals will be the sole responsibility of the winner.
One entry per person. No purchase necessary. Only one grand prize winner will be chosen. Submitting more than one entry per person will invalidate all entries by that contestant. Any entry submitted on behalf of another individual or using another person’s email address or name will be disqualified and ineligible to claim any prize. Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries allowed by using same, multiple/different email addresses, identities, or an y other methods void that participant’s entries and that participant may be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any on-line registration, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant and he/she must be eligible according to these Official Rules. No mechanically reproduced or automated entries permitted. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification and all such entries will be deemed void
WXST contests are open to all eligible South Carolina residents 18 or older have not won anything on WXST in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Prize is to be picked by winner at designated warehouse on Clements Ferry Road in Charleston, SC within 30 days of winning. All pick-up costs are the responsibility of the winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.
Employees of WXST, Charleston Radio Group, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the WXST main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.
