It’s a series of conversations that need to be heard across the Lowcountry.

The Charleston Gaillard Center presents Raising the Volume, a conversation on music, race, activism, and community curated by Artists-in-Residence, Markus Amaker and Charlton Singleton. Watch as they explore issues through open, honest dialogue. Each episode features an in-depth conversation with local Black leaders, educators, business owners, and artists. This free, virtual series is available online at GaillardCenter.org.

Marcus Amaker talked about the program, in-depth, on the Charleston Radio Group’s “Lowcountry Forever.” You can listen to that interview here.

Funding for this program provided in part by BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina.
