DJ D-Nyce a.k.a Tha Carolina Kid, or if you know him from back in the day, DJ Good Boy from Good Street, is a North Charleston High School grad now living in a nice house in the Charleston burbs. Since the age of 15, Nyce decided to follow in his father’s footsteps to find his way through his love for music. His dedication was so strong that he opted to DJ his own prom instead of attending with his fellow classmates!

In 1996-2002, D-Nyce was handpicked to intern with Atlanta’s HOT 97.5 where he learned the in’s and out’s of radio engineering and was mentored on the art being an on-air personality. Nyce then began to nurturing a fan base in the Atlanta club scene as people began asking about an unknown talent, “That kid from Carolina!”

The name “Tha Carolina Kid” stuck with him as he returned to Charleston radio on HOT 98.9 and Z93 Jamz for 6 years. In 2008, he left the Z93 family to focus on his company Ice Cream Productions, LLC.  In 2015, D-Nyce was scooped up by Charleston’s People’s Station, Star 99.7, to act as mixer and Friday night on-air personality.
