The name “Tha Carolina Kid” stuck with him as he returned to Charleston radio on HOT 98.9 and Z93 Jamz for 6 years. In 2008, he left the Z93 family to focus on his company Ice Cream Productions, LLC.  In 2015, D-Nyce was scooped up by Charleston’s People’s Station, Star 99.7, to act as mixer and Friday night on-air personality.
