Contest Rules

Beginning Dec. 12, 2018 through Dec. 19, 2018 log onto www.star997.com to register for a chance to win a Family 4-pack of tickets to see Marvel Universe Live at the North Charleston Coliseum on Dec.20, 2018.

Qualifiers will chosen at random from the registered entrants. Qualifiers will be announced at 8:20am, 12:20pm, and 5:20pm Starting 12/12 and ending 12/19. That person will have 5 minutes to call 843-972-9999 to claim their Family 4-pack of tickets to see Marvel Universe Live at the North Charleston Coliseum on December 20, 2018. If the selected qualifier does not call back within the allotted time, another entry will be selected at random until a winner is selected. The 5 minute cut off will be determined by WXST staff in their sole discretion.

The total value of the prize is $130. The contest is open to those 18 years or older who hold a valid article of state issued identification or have a valid Military ID. No purchase necessary. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. Prizes are subject to change. Packages cannot be transferred if the winner is unable to attend. Winners will be responsible for state and federal taxes. Fees and incidentals are not included.

WXST contests are open to all eligible South Carolina residents who have not won anything on WXST in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.

Employees of WXST, Charleston Radio Group, Saga South Communications, LLC., and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the WXST main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.

One entry per person. Submitting more than one entry per person will invalidate all entries by that contestant. Any entry submitted on behalf of another individual or using another person’s email address or name will be disqualified and ineligible to claim any prize.  Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries allowed by using same, multiple/different email addresses, identities, or any other methods void that participant’s entries and that participant may be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any on-line registration, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant and he/she must be eligible according to these Official Rules. No mechanically reproduced or automated entries permitted.  Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification and all such entries will be deemed void.
