Each summer, Camp Happy Days provides free summer camp for children with pediatric cancer. This year, there is a need for adult volunteers to assist with the June 28th through July 4th summer camp. Mary Blackwelder, the Camp Happy Days Director of Camps & Overnight Program, explained why the nonprofit provides these children this opportunity. She provided information on what goes on each summer at camp and why there is a greater need for adult volunteers this summer. Blackwelder laid out a timeline for this year’s camp and shared what Camp Happy Days is looking for from its adult volunteers. The director provided specifics on how adults can assist and shared information on how families can connect with Camp Happy Days.
