Nicole Robinson Cummings

Nominated with the following entry:
Nicole deserves this because she is very devoted to her jobs and helping people. She works at the local grocery store and she is a CNA who is in college. She works every day and does not complain ever. She deserves to be acknowledged for her work.

Cilantay Wilson, MSN, NP

Nominated with the following entry:
My daughter, Cilantay Wilson is a Nurse Practitioner who works out of 2 nursing homes. She’s on the frontline of COVID 19 taking care of these residents. As a young black NP, she gets very little respect from non-nursing as well as nurses whom don’t look like her, but as much as it pains her, she doesn’t let it affect her patients care. She’s been an RN since 2007, went back obtained her Masters degree, and still endures disrespect. She a hero to her patients as well as her children and husband. As her mom I hear the hurt and despair as she shares the disrespect she goes through. She’s worked in rural areas to make sure the underserved are taken care of. She goes above and beyond for those who are entrusted to her care, With this COVID-19, she knows the risk, but her oath as a nurse reminds her that she has can’t allow fear to keep her from being the best she can be, so let’s celebrate my baby, Mrs. Cilantay Wilson, MSN, NP. She’s on the left. She rang the bell with me after my last round of chemo.

Anthony Mookie

Nominated with the following entry:
Anthony is the community barber. While the shop has been closed he has been going around helping the elder ladies in our neighborhood. No question no charge. He makes sure roads are clear and yards are cleaned. If it’s something he can’t do he will find someone to handle it. He is a fairly young man himself but has a heart and spirit of a 100-year old. We are blessed to have him in the Snowden community.
