Official Contest Rules
On Saturday 11/11/17 & Saturday 12/08/17 listeners of all Charleston radio group stations (WMXZ/WXST/WCKN/WSPO/WMXZ HD2/WAVF) will be invited to show up at Orvins Furniture in Moncks Corner at 2:00 pm for a “cash & prizes treasure hunt”. Various “markers” will be hidden throughout the store and each marker will be a prize ranging from cash amounts, gift cards, and concert tickets. The first participants to find the markers will win corresponding prize. Once all prizes are found the contest will be over. A station judge will resolve any potential ties and/or disputes via a tie-breaking method of his or her choosing, with the judges decision being final.
Participants will begin their search in groups of 10 and will have 60 seconds to search the store. At the end of 60 seconds their search will end and the next group of 10 will participate until all prizes have been claimed. Losing participants will be permitted to search again by getting back in line at the end and so on until all prizes are claimed. Individuals interested in participating in the contest must sign a waiver and release of liability form or, in case of a minor, have a parent or authorized guardian sign such form. Participants will not be permitted to run during this event and any incidents of horse play, determined at the discretion of the Charleston Radio Group, will result in disqualification of the entire contest and forfeiture of any prize found as a result.
This contest is being concurrently and simultaneously with radio stations in the Charleston, South Carolina area affiliated with Charleston Radio Group and listeners of said stations will then be competing to win the same prize.
Total prizes for the contest will have an approximate total retail value of $1400. With cash prizes have an approximate retail value $1250, and gift cards and promotional event tickets having an approximate retail value of $150. Prizes are not transferable for cash. No purchase necessary. Charleston Radio Groups sole reasonability will be to award the prize. Winners will be responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes.
Charleston Radio Group contests are open to all eligible South Carolina residents 13 or older have not won anything any prize from Charleston Radio Group valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named. Employees of Charleston Radio Group, Saga Quad States Communications, LLC, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one-hundred-mile radius of the Charleston Radio Group are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.
