Experience Mark Kroos @ Grace United Methodist Church

April 3, 2023 (Orlando, FL) – Do you like music? Are you a guitar afficionado? Grace United Methodist Church (Grace UMC) at 1601 Sam Rittenberg Boulevard in Charleston, SC, will host a free concert featuring Mark Kroos at 6:30PM on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. Admission to the concert is free. Donations received will benefit the praise music and youth ministries of Grace United Methodist Church.

Mark Kroos plays two guitar necks simultaneously with a tapping technique that involves both hands fretting (pressing down) the strings. It creates an explosive and energetic genre that is as entertaining to watch as it is to listen to. Mark was the first-place winner of Guitar Player Magazine’s Guitar Superstar Competition in Nashville and has since shared the stage with acts like Phil Keaggy, Lee Ritenour, Mike Stern and Antoine Dufour. Notable concerts include Muriel Anderson’s All Star Guitar Night, The 2020 Acoustic Canvas Festival, The Olalla Americana Music Festival, The National Old Time Fiddlers’ Festival, Halftime Shows for the Orlando Magic Basketball Team and The Rock Boat, hosted by Sister Hazel. Multiple videos have seen viral success on social media, including his renditions of Dueling Banjos, Come Together, and Linus & Lucy.

Mark is currently based in Central Florida but frequently tours the United States and Canada. In the past twelve years, he has released four full-length instrumental guitar albums and recently recorded his first vocal album (not yet released). Grace UMC’s praise band, By Grace, will open the concert and Mark will offer a mixture of his solo guitar arrangements like Canon in D, Come Together, and Superstition, as well as his original vocal songs from the new album
