Community Over Crisis
2nd Annual Sickle Cell Awareness Event
September 12 | 10AM – 1PM | Annivesta Missionary Baptist Church
While over 100,000 people in the United States alone are affected by Sickel Cell Disease, not many people know exactly what the disease is or why it greatly affects the Black and Hispanic population. In order to teach people in the Lowcountry about Sickel Cell, Nicholas Washington, a patient living with Sickle Cell and advocate for clinical trials, and Melissa Dyley-Washington will be hosting this educational event at Annivesta Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, September 12th. The event aims to educate, inspire, and advocate for a greater understanding of Sickle Cell Disease and to work toward relief and care for patients.
Anyone and everyone are welcome to come to this event. Donations can be made via the CashApp QR code above.
