The Blessing of The Fleet & Seafood Festival Returns
Sunday, April 26 | 11AM-5PM | Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park

Coming up in April, the Blessing of the Fleet & Seafood Festival, sponsored by The Town of Mount Pleasant, Anchor Heating & Air, and Harris Teeter, returns to Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park! This annual festival highlights the Lowcountry’s fishing heritage, featuring a ceremonial blessing of shrimp and fishing boats for a safe and successful season followed by a boat parade along the Cooper River. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy live music, a craft show, exhibitions from local artists, and all-you-can-eat seafood samplings from talented local artists. The Seafood Festival also features games and activities for all ages, especially the kids!

The festival will also bring back its signature competitions such as the Shrimp Eating Contest and the Shag-Dance Contest, embracing the traditional Lowcountry dance scene to the best beach tunes! Everyone is invited to come and enjoy an authentic coastal experience. Admission and activities are FREE! Parking at Memorial Waterfront Park will be limited, however there will be shuttles throughout the day and additional parking will be available at the Patriot’s Point Soccer Complex.
